As a parent there’s no better feeling in the world than pulling your warm little nugget fresh and clean from the tub and wrapping them up in a big fluffy towel, slathering their little bodies in lotion, pulling on jammies and putting them to bed all clean and cozy, smelling like heaven.

Bath time is the best! Bath time means happy, clean kids. The honest to goodness last thing you should be worried about during this daily ritual (sometimes multiple times daily, you feel me?) is the stuff you’re using to wash your kiddos clean.

What’s the worry, bath wash is simple enough, right? Lather, rinse, repeat. Tear-free. You’re good!

Except not.

Most children’s bath products are labeled as “safe and gentle” when a disproportionate amount on the shelves actually contain toxic ingredients that have no business being anywhere near your children. We’re talking sulfates, parabens, surfactants, the usual offenders and then some ingredients that are even scarier and more toxic. It’s true!

You’d think we could depend on companies to use science to their advantage and only use ingredients that are actually safe, but they don’t. These manufacturers care so little about your children that they sign off on ingredients that contain known skin irritants and even some with chemicals that are associated with more serious health problems without any hint of a warning to consumers. It sits there on the shelf, just waiting for you to walk by and toss it in your cart without a second thought.

But why?!

The contradictory nature of FDA regulations isn’t much help. While the FDA does indeed oversee and theoretically regulate health and personal care products inside the USA, they don’t actually require companies to prove their products are truly safe before they’re sold.

Here’s the kicker though, the only way the FDA actually figures out they need to take action on something is if enough people complain about them to open up an investigation.

Take baby care product conglomerate Johnson & Johnson who recently paid out a $72 million dollar settlement to the family of a woman who died from ovarian cancer linked to her daily use of Johnson & Johnson talcum-based baby powder and shower to shower products.

Cancer-causing ingredients in products marketed specifically for babies and children, and that’s apparently okay unless enough people complain about it forcing the company to fix their formula and change their ingredients? NO WAY!

It shouldn’t take government regulation for companies to want to put safe ingredients in their products. No bath wash (or anything you put on your body) should ever contain ingredients that are anything but 100% safe and natural.

And you know at Wink, we’re all about that safe and natural life, along with transparency because we absolutely believe that you should know what goes into the products you use with your family. Bath wash is no exception!

When we saw the kinds of bath washes that so many parents were buying (*COUGH…like the ones made by that company we talked about above) we simply knew we could do it better, so we did!

With Wink Foaming Oil Bath Wash, you’ll get a bath wash that smells amazing, cleanses like it should, and lathers up like a dream and most importantly – 100% natural and safe.

Our compact pump bottle design and revolutionary foaming oil formula is extra concentrated and should last the average family for 6-8 weeks! Find the ingredients listed below along with a handy explanation too because we’re assuming that not everyone speaks laboratory language, and you deserve to know what these ingredients do without an extensive Google search.

Transparency, it’s the least we can do!
